Skip the diet this January and do this instead

It’s important to realise, a diet is not just for after Christmas (January). We think it’s better if you can change your lifestyle for good. What you really want to do is create a long term lifestyle plan. At 180 we’re all about changing bad habits. Start by thinking more about what you put inside your body. Hopefully this will make you want to shop a bit smarter and make healthier choices.

When creating a new lifestyle, don’t make it too restrictive, difficult or strenuous. Instead make changes you will be able to stick to long term. Start off with some simple changes. Make small tweaks like drinking less alcohol and cutting down on sweet treats and soda pop. Ween yourself off any daily habits like eating a biscuit with every cup of tea. Try being good during the week and reward yourself at the end of the week.

Create new healthier habits like walking to work 2 or 3 times per week or doing some star jumps whilst waiting for the kettle to boil.
